www.mypropertyforsale.co.uk is an online private house selling website
purely dedicated to selling UK property. We cover all areas of the UK
selling residential property only.
How long have you been selling property online?
The company was started in 2001, and we have been selling property online
since then. We also advertise in the local press and national newspapers,
but concentrate mainly online.
How can we contact you?

phone number if we are unable to take the call.
Are you an Estate Agent?
No, we are not an estate agent, we are a property selling website that
simply allows you to pay a fixed fee that enables you to advertise your
property for sale privately on our website.
If I am selling with an Estate Agent can I still sell with you?
Multiple Agency (YES)
In this case, you may appoint as many Agents as you like to sell your
property, the agent who does sell your property is then paid his commission,
you may find that with this type of agreement the commission is slightly
higher.
Sole Agency (YES)
If you are already using an Estate Agent to sell your property then the
appointed agent is the only agent who can sell your property, however,
as you are not an Estate Agent yourself, if you do find a buyer yourself
through private advertising then you do not have to pay the Estate Agent
commission. We do recommend that as a matter of courtesy that you do inform
your Estate Agent you are also advertising your property privately.
Sole Selling Rights (YES but please read)
In this case, the Estate Agent is the only person with the right to sell
your property, if you do sell your house privately then you are still
bound to pay the Agent their commission. We still think that this is worth
advertising due to our low selling fee, you are really then promoting
your property all over the UK, it is worth giving your agent a ring to
discuss this matter, as you may well be able to obtain a sizeable discount.

What specific details can I enter to search for a property?
You can search for properties by area, county, number of bedrooms, minimum
and maximum price.
How do I see the full page advert of a property
You can either click on "view details" or click on the picture
of the property.
Can I make the photos bigger?
You cannot make the main picture larger but by clicking on the thumbnail
images you can.
How can I contact the seller/vendor?
On the property advert you are viewing you have a button underneath the
main photo called "Contact the Seller", by clicking this you
can email the seller direct.
Creating your own portfolio
You can create your own portfolio in minutes with your email address and
password, you can then save properties that you are interested in or set
up an email alert that notifies you by email of any property particulars
you have requested.

Logging in to create an account
Why do I need to log in?
You need to log in so we have your email address and password saved on
our database, this way every time that you revisit the site we can remember
you and all your entered information.
It tells me my email address in invalid
This will only be mentioned if the email address that you have entered
is not a legitimate email address, please check you’re spelling
and enter again.
Why do I need to choose a password?
So only you can log in to your advert or portfolio.
What if I forget my password?
No problem, you can enter your email address and we will send you your
password straight away, please click here
What if I need to change my email address?
You can change your email address from this
page. You will have to log in first to access this page. After you
have done this all emails will be sent to the new address straight away.

Creating an advert
Can I write my description on my computer and then copy and
paste it.
Yes, this is a good way of typing your advert, especially if you are using
a dial up account.
How much text can I write for my description?
Unlimited, you can write as long a description as you wish.
What is the best way to write my advert?
Here are a few tips when writing your advert.
- Do not write your advert all in capitals, it makes it hard to read.
- Use blank lines to make paragraphs.
- Enter room dimensions.
- Enter as much information as you can.
- Don't include contact details in this area of text.

Can I add my own website address for my property from your site?
Yes, this will be displayed in your advert and will be a direct link to
your chosen address
Can I start my advert and finish it later.
Yes, we give you 28 days to create your advert. Once an advert has been
created it will be saved on the database, you can log back in and modify
any part of the advert within 28 days, after this we delete the advert,
you will be emailed before this date to let you know.
I have paid and cannot see my advert.
This will be because the advert is still waiting to be approved by a member
of staff, please check again in a couple of hours.
Will my phone number show on my advert?
We do not show your contact details on the website, you can however display
them if you wish whilst creating your advert.
Will my email address show on my advert.

You can advertise your property from £99 or £139
Where will I be able to see my advert?

partner sites until SOLD!

When will my advert be live on www.mypropertyforsale.co.uk?
Your advert will be live on the website same day, this is normally done
by a member of staff within a couple of hours but sometimes due to busy
periods please allow same day.
How long will my property be advertised on www.mypropertyforsale.co.uk?
Your advert will be advertised on our website until you choose to suspend
it, we have no time limit on your advert.

Until you choose to suspend it from www.mypropertyforsale.co.uk, this
will automatically suspend it from all our partner sites.

Top Portals Upgrade upgrade
What is the Top Portals upgrade?
This upgrade submits your property advert to the busiest and biggest property
websites in the UK, the websites are:

How much does it cost?
A one off payment of £40.
How long does it take until my property is listed on the Top
Portals upgrade?
We submit your details same day with this upgrade, it is best to allow
48hrs.
How long will my property be advertised on the Top Portals upgrade?
6 months.
What if I want to upgrade to the Top Portals upgrade later?
You can upgrade by logging in to your account and selecting Top Portals
upgrade at anytime.
I cannot see my advert anywhere of the sites mentioned.
This may be because the other sites have been busy, please check again
in 12 hours, also make sure you have searched in the correct county, area
and the right price.
I edited my advert and it has not changed on the Top Portals
upgrade websites.
Once an advert has been edited by you, it needs to be approved by one
of our team. After it has been approved, it will be back live on www.mypropertyforsale.co.uk
After this it will be automatically resubmitted same day to the upgrade
package websites with all the changes you made in place.
Can I change my photos once they are listed on the Top Portals
package?
Yes, when you edit your advert on www.mypropertyforsale.co.uk, even if
it is text or photos they will automatically be resubmitted to the other
sites, changes may take up to 24 hrs to take place though.
Is it worth upgrading to this package?
Research shows that YES it is worth upgrading, for a one off fee of £40
you are presenting your property to over 2,000,000 buyers a month, if
you are serious about selling you can't afford not to, remember if you
let your local estate agent try to sell your property he will be charging
you a few thousand pound!

Adding photographs
What is the best way to take my photos?
To get the best quality photos you need to take your pictures with a digital
camera, we can supply one for you for £20 if you need one.
When do I add my photos to my advert?
You can add your photos after you have entered all your details of the
property, if you do not have any photos you can still put your advert
live and add them later, we do however give you 28 days to finish your
advert.
It keeps saying that the image needs to be in jpg. format
The operating system requires that all images that need to be uploaded
need to be in jpg.
How do I get my photos to be in jpg. format?
Find the photo for your advert on your computer, right click on the image
with your mouse, you can then select "save", from here you can
usually select what format you wish to save your image as, save image
as jpg. If you cannot do this please contact us and we will add them for
you (no charge).
Do they need to be a certain size?
No, our system will automatically adjust the size to fit, if the image
is large it may take a few minutes to load, they will load quicker if
you resize to 400x300 pixels.
Can I put floor plans in as a photo?
Yes you can, this is a good idea to do.
How many photos can I add?
You can add as many as you wish, it is unlimited.
Can I change the photos later?
Yes, you can edit them at anytime.
Can I add more photos later?
Yes, you can add as many photos as you wish at anytime.
Why does my photo not look very clear?
This can only be down to the quality of photo that you uploaded, photos
can sometimes look grainy if they have been scanned or the digital camera
needed more light.
Can I send the photos to you?
Yes, you can email the photos to us and we will do it all for you, please
email to this address:
You can also send real photographs in the post to us and we will scan
them for you, please send a SAE if you would like the photos returned.
You said you can supply a Digital Camera, how much does will
cost?
Our charge is £20, this covers all the postage and packing needed
to protect the camera.
How long does it take?
Once you have completed your advert, we will send the camera to the address
that you have supplied on the WorldPay secure payment page, if you wish
the camera to be sent to another address please contact us here http://www.mypropertyforsale.co.uk/contact.php
The camera will be sent within approximately 2 working days after you
advert appears live on the site. Until we receive the camera back with
your photos on it, your advert will be displayed with our company logo.
You will need to take your pictures same day and return the camera ASAP
in the prepaid bag. As soon as we receive the camera we will put your
photos online same day.
Will the camera be complicated to use?
No, the camera will be preset by us so that all you need to do is push
the button and take your photos, this way it keeps it nice and easy!
Can I load the pictures from the camera on to my own computer?
No, but we can email you the pictures if you choose, this is because all
the cameras are preset only to work on our system, this is done for security.

When do I pay for my advert?
You pay for your advert when you want to make it live on the website.
What ways can I pay for my advert?
You can pay by credit or debit card on our payment page, you can also

If I pay by cheque when will my advert be live on the website
today?
No, your advert will be live on the website when we have received your
payment.
Who do you use for your online transactions?
Worldpay. All online payments are made through a secure server, Worldpay
is owned by the Royal Bank of Scotland.
I have paid for advertising and cannot see my advert.
This will be because the advert is still waiting to be approved by a member
of staff, please check again in a couple of hours.

Editing a live advert
My advert is not showing in the correct county.
You will need to log in and change the county that you have selected.
How do I edit my advert when it is live?
You have to log in to your portfolio to edit your advert.
I have edited my advert and now cannot see it
Your advert is waiting to be approved by a member of staff.
How do I mark my advert as "under offer" or "sold"?
You will need to log in first, once you are logged in to your advert you
can click on the appropriate button alongside your advert.
If the sale falls through can I put my advert to live again?
Yes, you will need to email us first though at,
we will then mark your advert as running again.

Emails
Will my email address be shown on the website
No, we do not show your email address on the site, the website has its
own internal mail system.
I have received an email but it says nothing.
This will happen if somebody has started so write an email and submitted
it without filling all the fields out.
How often should I check my email box?
It is best to check your emails everyday while your advert is running,
sometimes people are in your area and wanting to view within the next
2 or 3 days so you don't want to lose out on a possible sale.
